one simple thing to do is to only sign on myspace login
when you sign in it should say in the address bar myspace.login. if you are not sure then retype in myspace.com and you know for sure that you are in the right place

Active hacking is rare enough that you shouldn't worry about it. It's the passive hacking that gets most people.
What do I mean by passive hacking? Any site (besides myspace) that asks for your myspace username and password will use that info to "hack" your account.
How do you prevent this from happening? Never enter your username or password anywhere but on the actual myspace logon page.
