ok so when i logged into myspace today it said that someone hacked into my myspace or something and i got pished or something and told me to change my password so i did. so anyway all day today it's said that none of my friends are online and i know that there is always someone online but also when i look at my profile it said i wasn't online and i didn't hide it so how do i fix this? and no none of my friends made their accounts invisable i know because i asked on aim HELP!

One of them suggested that someone got my password and has hacked onto my myspace page. But I know that is not true because I haven't given my myspace password to anyone! I know that for a fact. But if for some bizarre it is true I changed my password. Will that make it stop? wrong. someone could and probably did hack your page. they don't need your password or email address. they simply make a fake myspace login page and when you sign into that page they have your login info.

so yes someone hacked you page and yes change your password you might have to change it often though because once they do it to you they'll keep doing to to you.

when it asks you to login make sure it says login.myspace

or myspace.com otherwise DON'T type in your login info.

What do I mean by passive hacking? Any site (besides myspace) that asks for your myspace username and password will use that info to "hack" your account.

Another thing to check is the address that is displaying this login page... make sure that it is "www.myspace.com" and not some other address.

This behavior is sometimes the result of phishing sites...

If you realize that you just entered your user name and password to a phishing site, type the address for MySpace and change your password right away... otherwise, people will start sending spam from your account.

As you said, it's possible that he just guessed your password. Good going on changing it. He could have also gotten onto your computer and viewed your saved passwords. No, don't bother doing that. Your g/f's account probably had a weak login password. Meaning, someone took a program, which I am not naming on Yahoo Answers, and using your g/f's login name, they cracked (keyword is cracked, not hacked) your g/f's password. If she can get back into her account, have her change her password to a non dictionary word or a non person's name atleast 6 charcters or digits long.

For the last couple of Months MySpace Phising has occured. Phising is when fake login pages are created by a hacker with very simular URL to that of the login page.

Your GF most likely typed in her password into one of these fake login in screens and the hacker no has all her details.

Advice change all major passwords instantly....

Please also report the site to MySpace so that they can look into this. If "Raul" is a hacker he is breaking the law.

I would check the pc for spyware, it sounds likely that this was a phishing attempt. She mustn't type any other passwords until her pc is clear. And she must change all her passwords asap.

It is not impossible to hack someone's myspace. Someone who know your email address can hack it. My brother and I did it to a friend of mine as a joke once. We used her email address to hack her email and change the password on Myspace by sending a forgot my password thing to Myspace.

There is no way to trace an online email account. Say you have the free yahoo email. The email is sent from their server not the senders computer. And I wouldn't say its impossible to hack into a MySpace account, but the people that can't wouldn't bother. You may have a keylogger stuck on your system though. I guess, you got it the wrong way. Maybe the hacker really DELETED your myspace account just for fun. Myspace can't really detect these hackers.

Anyway, to avoid such circumstance I suggest you create another one with longer password. This may prevent the hacker from easily memorizing your password.

Also, avoid clicking the "remember my password" tag. This stores your password, which can be easily used by public users.

One more thing, after logging out, you should press F5 or refresh the webpage so that it will immediately erase all temporary data in that web page.

No you can't get a virus. People on myspace get phished by putting their password into fake sights designed to look like the myspace homepage. Its just spam. Don't click on the add and then stupidly put your password into the sight that looks like myspace because then you will get phished too!

There is a way, but it's the only way.

You have to somehow prove that they are breaking Myspace terms.

A couple obvious ways are if they're posting pornography or hiding the advertisement on their profile, but proving something like stalking is much more difficult, %26amp; usually unsuccessful if your goal is to delete their account.

Keep in mind also that Myspace does not ban IP addresses, which means the perv that's following you can simply create another account in moments %26amp; continue his/her stalking spree, %26amp; probably even more intensely if they know you got them deleted.

Best bet is to block them %26amp; try to forget about it. Getting them deleted is not going to work.

If you went through and deleted your account the right way 2 years ago then its deleted. Also, don't forget that there are millions of people using myspace ALL across the world, and its most likely that your not the only one with your name. I've spent hours looking for one of my friends that didn't remember their URL and were too lazy to get on their acct and look it up for me and there were several hundred people with his name. So your most likely seeing someone else's profile that they made and then either forgot about it or their password or they didn't like it and stopped getting on or something like that.

I like myspace SOME of the time, but most of the time it gets annoying and stupid. I think that they change things too often and just need to leave us alone while we are on there!! And the people on there are mainly perves or people with no real life so I don't normally like them either... My advice is to do as i do, ensure you have a back up copy of all your documents, music and videos, e-mails, mailing lists and favorite's on an external hard drive, then if you do get hacked or a serious virus enters you system, so long as you have your OS instalation disc, reformat your hard drive and re-instal windows, though i can say that i have not had to do this myself yet as i have adequate internet security to protect my computer, that being said, there is always a first time, so i am not going to count my chickens :o)

go to your account and click change password..as long as you still have your correct email , they will send you the password or a code to type in so you can change it..be sure you add number to your password, It makes it harder to steal and never let anyone know your password again.

if they hacked into your account, chances are they arent best friends at all, there is a section on there that says forget password, they will send it to you, and can sign in and go into myspace and delete your account, be sure if you start another one to use a password that nobody else but you knows

First, you need to click on forgot password...

Then fill that out...

After you get the email of what you're password is, then log on.

Go to Settings or Account Settings.

Click on account

Then, almost at the bottom of the page, there is a cancel account button.. click on it...

Then click on cancel account again.

And again...

Then go to your email, and delete it from there...

depends on how they block it. You might be able to change browsers. You might be able to turn off a proxy in IE. If you are using IE, try downloading and installing Firefox. If you can't do that, then disabling IE proxies isn't hard, or used to not be hard, but I don't feel like typing step-by-step instructions. There are probably so forwarding sites too, but I'd be careful with that, as they might be spammers trying to access your account.

4) Comments are removed when you close a MySpace account. OR remove someone as a friend. OR you manually delete them using the MySpace function that lets you delete comments. Perhaps your gf simply performed one of those options. Did you even think about that? Of course not! ZOMG THE MINUTE HAND ON MY CLOCK MOVED ITS BEEN HACKED LOLZ!
