Time and time again someone keeps hacking into my myspace account and changing things would it be possible to have the police track the ip to find out who it is for sure?

No, the police will jsut blow it off people hacking myspace is not a big deal fo them it hapens all the time and they dont really care so dont even bother.

It is best to stay within myspace for that. Change your password and remember it. Otherwise, your internet behavior is messed up somehow.

Is it that important that the cops have to get into it? I don't think the cops would want to waste their time trying to catch his hacker. They have better things to do such as save people from bigger harms like death-threatening situations. But anyways, there are a LOT of hackers in MySpace. My suggestion would be that you get a new account or you convert to Facebook like I did.

good luck with that one. My advice use a long password and change it constantly. Make sure you have a spyware blocker on your computer as well.

Umm, first and foremost, you better change your password. Make it completely different than what you've been using. Also make sure it has at least one special character, one capital letter, and at least 8 characters long.
Also, the po-lice aren't going to do a da*n thing. The internet isn't really part of their jurisdiction you know! Also, it's certainly not on their priority list. Unless someone is causing harm to you or threatening to cause harm, law enforcement won't even lift a finger for you.
Oh, and you better double-check your computer. Make sure there isn't any weird device attached to your keyboard. Follow the wire all the way back to the PC and make sure it goes right in without any little square-looking devices attached to it. Someone could be using a key logger (like say your brother) to see every letter you're typing. Key loggers can be software based too running in the background hidden in Windows. So set your MySpace page the way you like it, go to another PC, and change your password from there. See if it sticks for a while.

For example sometimes when you sign in and it takes you to another page. And the url is different than signin.myspace.com or what ever it is
so you type your information and it gets saved and sent to these people, so just make sure you look at the url

the police probly wouldnt do anything because they have more important things to do. there is a thing called phlishing or something like that. its where you are sent to a page that says the user name or password was incorrect. when u type it in it goes to a hacker. they tricked you by making it look like it was myspace but it really wasnt. change your password and make sure that when u type ur user name or password in wrong you type in myspace.com at the top again to make sure it really is myspace.

Police wont do anything for this sort of situation. Go to myspace through a proxy site and change your password to have many numbers and capital letters, makes it hard to crack. Myspace is a training ground for hackers so get used to it i guess.
