i need statistics and sources of where u got the info please. looking for something like 75% of myspace's get hacked on average or 5000 people get hacked each month idunno something like that that is true.

Daily small hacks here and there, big ones every six months or so...

The site wasn't very secure to start off with... They didn't fix certain security holes after "white hat" hackers told Myspace about them. The hackers often then publicized the "exploits" on public forums across the internet. This forced Myspace to fix up its security, especialy the server-side ASP scripts.

There are a few "exploits" left though allowing people to see "private" friends and anyones video. Also the main profile picture (the one you see browsing or viewing a private profile) can be enlarged by simply changing the "s" or "m" in the file name to a lowercase "L"

As for "phishing", Myspace was able to elimate most of it by alerting the user whenever they click an out-of-site link. Hackers normaly use phishing instead of directly "attacking" the server. (Which is hopefuly invulnerable by now)

To sum it up: Don't put anything on your profile that you don't want public. (BTW: even forgeting hackers, the Government can access everything anyway) Also NEVER use the same password as your email... If they have your email account and it's password they'll try to access your accounts on other sites that you signed up on via that email address too... (after changing you email password)

Myspace's actually never get hacked. They get phished or people are just retarded and give out there password and are like ZOMG I'm hackzored.

At the las vegas hackers convention they showed how ANY page can be hacked in under consistantly, all you need is the friend ID. This could be done on ANYONES webpage, under 30 seconds.
