Why dosn'y my myspace tell me when my friends are online?

ok so when i logged into myspace today it said that someone hacked into my myspace or something and i got pished or something and told me to change my password so i did. so anyway all day today it's said that none of my friends are online and i know that there is always someone online but also when i look at my profile it said i wasn't online and i didn't hide it so how do i fix this? and no none of my friends made their accounts invisable i know because i asked on aim HELP!

Only way that I know of is through a virus from another source or a key logger that steals your passwords. Also if you add anyone you don't know personally, sometimes there are virus' linked through their web page.

i dont know hacking, but you can see people hidden comments/friends, you do this by going to your links when viewing your own comments or friends, and replace your friend ID with theirs...if that helps!

every myspace is hackable even Tom's although his is harder.

there is nothitng you can do to stop it accept change your password regually and make sure you check that everything on your myspace, is something you put there and not randomly appeared.

I got a message from my friends on myspace that they got a blank comment from me. But I didn't send them a comment. i hadn't even looked on they're page for a while. One of them suggested that someone got my password and has hacked onto my myspace page. But I know that is not true because I haven't given my myspace password to anyone! I know that for a fact. But if for some bizarre it is true I changed my password. Will that make it stop? And what really caused it in the first place? keep in mind it wasn't all of my friends on myspace that got a plank comment just some. Thanks for your help:)

wrong. someone could and probably did hack your page. they don't need your password or email address. they simply make a fake myspace login page and when you sign into that page they have your login info.

so yes someone hacked you page and yes change your password you might have to change it often though because once they do it to you they'll keep doing to to you.

when it asks you to login make sure it says login.myspace

or myspace.com otherwise DON'T type in your login info.

well you get hacked when you type in your password when it says you must be logged in to do that.

my suggestion would be to tell your friend to get a new password.

you may have accidentally logged in to a "fake" log in page. so just change your password.

If his messaging options don't require that you be his friend prior to sending a message, you could explain your situation that way, and ask him to add you.

As a last resort, you could ask someone that you mutually know on his friendslist, explain your situation, and get his last name/email.

The first and most obvious way is not to give out your email address on the internet. In fact, I opened a free account online and I use that email address. I've never given it to anybody else, so I know its totally safe. Secondly, you should change your password every week. This way, even if somebody does manage to figure out your password, they won't be able to use it for long. Thirdly, make sure that you are on the official MySpace site (http://www.myspace.com). There are many, many, many fake MySpace login pages out there. For this reason, always enter the MySpace web address into the address bar to get to MySpace. Never click on a link in an email, or from another webpage. They can be very tricky, and many look exactly like the real login page, with the MySpace logo, etc. This is how 99% of the people that hack into MySpace accounts get the information to hack into your account.
